Already own in Northern Virginia? Let's see if refinancing makes sense.

I help homeowners in Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax work out whether a refinance does what they need. When the numbers don't support it, I say so.

Who I am

I help you decide what makes sense for the home you already own.

I’m Kunal Khanna, a loan officer at CMS Mortgage Solutions. My focus is refinancing for homeowners in Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax. I want to understand your goal before we talk about replacing your mortgage. Keeping your current loan may be the right call.

I look at the whole decision: closing costs, the new balance, the time left on your loan, and your plans to stay. A different monthly payment does not tell the whole story.

If you work for yourself, I help you prepare for the income review. We can discuss tax returns, business records, and any changes in earnings before you gather documents. I also explain credit review, the property valuation, and the steps that can affect timing.

How I help

I help you ask the questions that matter before replacing your loan.

Should you refinance?

I compare your current loan with the proposed one and your plans for the home. If closing costs or a longer repayment period work against your goal, I will explain why waiting may make sense.

Cash-out and home equityYour home secures the loan

Equity is the difference between your home’s value and what you owe. Cash-out replaces your mortgage with a larger loan and gives you part of the difference after payoff and costs. Your home secures the larger loan. Missed payments can put it at risk.

Documents, credit, and timing

I help you gather mortgage statements, income records, and insurance details. We discuss credit review and whether an appraisal is needed. For self-employed homeowners, I explain the business documents the lender may request. Timing depends on the review, so I do not promise a closing date.

Your Northern Virginia home

I ask about the property you already own in Arlington, Alexandria, or Fairfax. A condo may involve association documents as well as your own. If you expect to move soon, that matters when we compare closing costs with any potential savings.

I share this for education . A personal loan review is still needed. This is not a commitment to lend. Income, credit, and property requirements apply. Refinancing may increase total finance charges over the life of the loan.

How it works

A review before a decision.

I explain what we need to learn at each step.

01
Tell me your goalI ask what you owe, what you want to change, and how long you expect to stay. You do not need to have every answer ready.
02
Compare and prepareI walk through the costs and repayment period with you. If you want to proceed, I explain the document list and property review.
03
Review before closingI help you understand the final terms and closing steps. We check that the proposed loan still serves the goal we started with.

Start with your current loan.

Tell me what you hope to change. I can help you decide whether to explore a refinance or leave your mortgage as it is.
